DIY Iced Coffee

You know when that craving for iced coffee hits you but are too lazy to leave the house to actually go and buy one? Or when your bank balance laughs at you and smirks with a “oh no hunny, not today”.

I eventually reached my experimenting phase again and created the iced coffee that seems to turn me into a couch potato at times.

What you will need:

  • A glass
  • A coffee mug
  • A teaspoon
  • Instant coffee
  • Sugar / sweetener / coffee syrup/ condense milk
  • Fresh milk/ almond milk / soy milk
  • Ice
  • Boiling water

Method:

  •  Boil some water
  • While water is boiling, fill the glass you want to drink your iced coffee in with a hand full of ice.
  • Put two teaspoons of instant coffee into your coffee mug.
  • Add whatever sweetener or syrup you choose to the mug (I absolutely love condense milk). If you don’t normally have sugar with your coffee, you can skip this step.
  • Pour enough boiling water in the mug, enough to dissolve the sugar and coffee not even half a cup.
  • Pour in your milk of choice to fill the mug.
  • Pour the mixture in the mug over the ice in your glass of choice. If necessary, fill the glass to the top with more milk.
  • Use your spoon to stir the coffee and the ice to make it nice and chilled!
