With Winter in full force my skin is definitely experiencing the wrath thereof, dry and in desperate need of some TLC. Being on a student budget I unfortunately cannot always be spending ridiculous amounts of money on overpriced social media hyped products, I think that is why I absolutely love DIY treatments because in most cases you usually have the natural ingredients stored somewhere in your kitchen. I also prefer using natural raw ingredients due to my overly sensitive skin and mild eczema.

Hydrating Mask:

1/2 Ripe Avocado
2 tbsp Honey
1/2 tsp Coconut oil

Mash and stir 1/2 a ripe  avocado until smooth. Stir in 2 tbsp honey and 1/2 tsp coconut oil. Apply to your face and wait 10-15 min. Rinse your face with luke warm water. This mask should leave your skin hydrated.

Acne Mask:

1/2 Cup hot water
1/3 Cup oats
1 tbsp Honey
2 tbsp Plain yogurt

Add 1/2 cup hot water to 1/3 cup oats. Stir then add in 1 tbsp honey and 2 tbsp plain yogurt. Evenly apply to your face and leave on for about 10 min and then rinse. This masks will help reduce acne, bumps and and rough patches on your skin.

Brightening Face Mask:

1/2 a Ripe papaya peeled, seeded and cut up.
1/2 tsp Honey
1/4 tsp lemon juice

Mash the papaya with a blender until smooth then mix in the rest of the ingredients by hand. Apply the mask evenly to your face and leave on for 15min. Rinse off with luke warm water. This mask should leave your face feeling moisturized and looking brighter.

Strawberry Mask:

1/2 Cup Strawberries
1 tbsp Plain Yogurt
1 tbsp Honey

Mash together all the ingredients (do not use a blender!) Apply the mask evenly to your face and leave on for 10 min, rinse with luke warm water. This mask helps remove dead skin cells, tighten pores and decrease appearance of acne.

Detox Face Mask:

2 tbsp Coffee
2 tbsp Cocoa powder
1 tbsp Honey
3 tbsp Yogurt

Mix together all the ingredients and then apply evenly onto your face and leave it on for 10 min. When rinsing gently massage your face to exfoliate. This mask helps reduce red and puffiness.

Your skin will be thanking you later trust me!

Namaste xx
